Supplying Africa for 30 Years
2012 sees Export Africa celebrating its 30th year supplying African Commerce and Industry.
As a startup in 1982 Export Africa had a handful of customers located in Zimbabwe but over the years has expanded its customer base to include clients in Southern, Central, East and West Africa, the Middle East and off-shore African Islands of St Helena and Mauritius.
A decision was taken at the company’s inception that Export Africa, as its name implies, would not specialise in a product range or industry sector but rather specialise in offering an African focussed, bespoke procurement service that met the specific needs of each of its clients.
This has led to a diverse client base including governments, parastatals and aid agencies, service industries, road, rail and marine transport operators, agricultural, mining, food processors, power generators and heavy metal industries.
Similarly a broad spectrum of goods have been supplied over the years, ranging from complete equipment to consumables, from raw materials to spare parts.
Director, Ross Rundle, said “Throughout the last 30 years the African economy has continually expanded and diversified and we are proud to have been a small part of this ongoing process. Our success is a reflection of the loyalty of our customers and the service from our suppliers and we would like to take this opportunity of thanking them for their support. Together, we look forward to the next 30 years.”
